Hey, thinking about using MPG for some hiring. Has anyone here actually managed to snag a free job posting or a discount when signing up for the first time? Wondering if I should push for it.

Yeah, I got a free trial for my first post when I signed up last fall. I think it was an intro offer, definitely worth asking about.

I didn't get a 'promo code' or anything, but when I talked to their sales team for a custom quote, they built in a pretty decent discount since I was looking at an annual package. Doesn't hurt to ask what they can do for new employers.

How does MPG's resume database stack up against Indeed or LinkedIn for finding candidates quickly? Like, is it worth the subscription or am I better off sticking to the big guys for candidate search?

L LeoMorris98 1 week ago
I've found their database to be pretty good, especially for specialized roles. Not as massive as LinkedIn obvs, but the quality of candidates I've gotten from there has been solid. Less noise, more relevant profiles.

Depends on what you're looking for. For general roles, Indeed might give you more volume. But for targeted recruiting, especially in certain industries (think tech or healthcare, as I experienced), MPG was surprisingly effective. Their screening tools help a lot too.
